The Westlake is owned and maintained by The Willard Companies, which also operate Smith Mountain Lake's two private golf communities, The Water's Edge and The Waterfront. The Westlake is a member of the Roanoke Valley Golf Hall of Fame, an organization that includes 14 area golf courses. The Hall of Fame distributes scholarships and brings together the Roanoke Valley's top amateur men, women, junior, senior and super senior golfers each summer for team and individual competition. |
Billy McBride III has been the head golf professional at The Westlake since January 2004.
A second-generation golf professional, Billy is a Roanoke native and 1990 graduate of Northside High School. After earning a degree in Business Management from North Carolina-Wilmington, he got his start in the golf business at Roanoke Country Club. He moved to Hanging Rock Golf Club in Salem in the summer of 1996 and completed membership into the PGA of America in October 2000.  |
Nikki Poole is the Club Manager for The Westlake Golf and Country Club since February 2007. Nikki brings over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry. Prior to joining The Westlake Golf and Country Club, she worked in marketing for LongHorn Steak House and most recently as manager for Awful Authors in Roanoke. Poole, an Atlanta, Georgia native, graduated from University of West Georgia with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
